I'm a Dec 2018 pre-order holder and just realized how silly I am for only pre-ordering a single Rivian! Be it for use, resale, gifting, the list goes on, I should have pre-ordered at least two... And so I just placed my second pre-order.

How many pre-orders do you have? Why did you get that many?

I should have ordered 2. Instead I'm contemplating ordering and selling my f150 lightning and putting that towards the R1T. Depending on my estimated delivery date later this month. I'm 15th in line at my dealer for the lightning and was told no mark up. I didn't pre order the R1T until till July this year so I'm assuming the f150 will come 1st. If by some miracle the r1t comes first might still flip the lighting for a profit.

This is why I just ordered another. If I can resell or trade-in for a good price when Rivian contacts to finalize the max pack, I'll do it. Otherwise, I get the money back and stay happy with my LE/LG/FE/AT.

I wanted to order my R1T in 2019 but couldn't convince my wife until Sept. 2020. We were lucky enough to get invite for the First Mile event at the factory where she said "I want one!" after driving the course. Needless to say we ordered her R1S from my phone before we left the parking lot! ?

Same here, LT then sell if I can't get the range I need and take delivery of the Max.

- also found out today I'm #7 at my local Ford dealer who has over 300 Lightning reservations.

- and #9 at Porsche for the hard to get GT3 Touring... fingers crossed!

(2) R1t max for myself 8/20 and finally got my wife to agree to r1s 3/21. Depending on what new vehicles hit the market in the next 18 months (my anticipated delivery) we may or may not stick with the r1s.

I’m in for 2. Probably do the R1T as LE, then sell/trade when longer range R1S comes out.

I thought about it, but a v1.0 car from a v1.0 company in a v1.1 vehicle space seemed bold enough. My sense is I will test it out, get used to EVs and if I really like it buy another in 2-3, ie next revision, and pass this one down the line in the family.

Honestly, I am hoping for a Rivian van in the next 3 years a la customized Sprinters, 4 motors, 400 miles, inside sleeping &n hanging out when cold, etc...

The other consideration was size...at almost 201", I'd like a really small EV to zip into urban areas, park, etc. Dont need two giant vehicles at the same time really...
