Hi all. Been mighty cold here in snowy MN, and noticed the defroster is really struggling to keep up with keeping windshields clear. Wondering how everyone else's is doing and if I need a service ticket or to just suck it up? First winter with the Rivian, my non-heat pump Model 3 fought this as well but not as bad.
Thanks in advance!
Some random points:
Outside temps were at or well below 0F.
I park (and charge) in a semi-heated garage (50F or better).
Not referring to clearing the exterior of the windshields, this is the moisture forming inside from human/canine respiration, etc.
I am selecting the red defroster (2 presses) not the blue defogger (1 press).
Air blowing on HI defrost is far from hot (normal?)
When on auto, truck does a nice job keeping cabin warm
Rear and mirror defrosters work great
Couldn't care less about range loss, to be expected with the cold and batteries.
Thanks in advance!
