Hello wonderful forum, I've been trying to purchase a demo vehicle on the sales site. The first time I reserved a R1T, which no money down with the expectation that I guide would reach out to collect the $1k and "guide" my through the process. This didn't happen and the I received an email noting that my order was cancelled. Yesterday, I reserved another one and haven't heard back - I reached out to a guide that I talked to once before and I've heard nothing back - Does anyone have a contact or thoughts on how to move forward? I'm concerned that the same thing will happen again - I was able to hop on one of the few R1S 2023 Demo's that were released yesterday AM. Thanks in advance.

I don't think the guides exist any more, it's between you and the local service center methinks. Anyone have different info?

I had a guide, actual person, a year ago. That person left and I was re-assigned to a pool with a generic email address. No one from that pool ever contacted me when my reservation came up last Fall. Eventually someone did reach out earlier this year but I figured I'd wait on the refresh at that point. Last I heard the guides were part of one of the rounds of Rivian downsizing.

I reserved an R1T on Saturday and haven't heard anything yet. Would appreciate any contacts you can share. Thanks!

Opposite experience here: Excellent Guide service.

We matched ourselves to a demo at the Gaithersburg MD service center (long story, but it was the right place for us to pick it up). Within a few days, a Delivery Guide from Gaithersburg reached out and we began corresponding. When things got outside the Delivery Guide's scope of authority, and the East Central Guide Team was too swamped to respond promptly, our Delivery Guide used a back channel to get the Guide Team's attention before there was trouble.

Since you know which Service Center you want, consider calling Rivian Service and asking to be transferred to that Service Center for the Delivery Guide team.

My observation is that when Rivian is good, it is very very good. Keep reaching out for the ones who get things done, and make sure their supervisors know when they did a good job.

Good luck in your Rivian adventure. Very best wishes!
