Help, is My R1S Haunted

Since the Costumes went away I've run into some issues hopefully the forum members can help with. I've posted before that my R1S G2 wakes up every night from about 9PM till 5 AM about every hour for about 15 minutes. Rear lights go on, then the interior lights and infotainment screen come on. I'm not near the R1 (proximity sensing is on though). I see this on my security camera. It's parked inside the house.

Today, the I went to unplug the R1, to find that it had hit the set limit of 70% SOC, yet the interior screen said it was still charging? The app said it was still charging, but at 0 KW. The Tesla wall charger showed it was sending juice(green light bar running) and the charging port was green. Is this possibly negatively affecting the battery, a software issue? Any one have these issues, or have thoughts on a solution. Not sure if I should bring this up to SC level or just live with

Two thoughts - set up Gear Guard to be off at off, and have you done a hard reset?

You're probably right! Anyone out there do Garexorcisms?

I do have gear guard off at home. Can you remind me how to do that hard reset? Also how do you capture diagnostics for the SC if needed? I thought there was a way to do that.

If you hold the hazard button for a few seconds it will capture the diagnostic dump.

Sleep Reset
Rivian must be unplugged from charger, nothing plugged into any USB ports, Inverter off, all seatbelts unbuckled, no one in the vehicle. Then lock and walk away for at least 30 minutes.

Infotainment Reset
Hold the far left and far right buttons on the steering wheel for about 15 seconds. This fixes issues having to do with the screens, hotspots, Alexa not working, glitchy navigation, etc.

Full reset
Hold the far left button on the steering wheel and the emergency flasher button for about 15 seconds. The entire computer will restart.
According to Rivian support DO NOT RESET AGAIN FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR after this procedure. There are multiple systems that may take a bit longer to fully come up after this reset.

You can also just long-press your username on the center screen. That way you don't turn on the hazards.

FYI, this info is in the manual BUT it calls them vehicle and software restarts.

The charging thing happens all the time so I think that’s normal. It happens when you are close or at the charging limit.

Yeah don’t sweat it. Just drive and enjoy the Rivian. It’s an amazing machine.

If you haven't done so already... Turn proximity unlock to “off at home” to eliminate likelihood of unintentional unlocking when parked at home (and your phone/fob in range). Manual unlocking never killed anyone, though some people think it’s a monumental difficulty.

You can do the resets whenever. Just avoid two hard resets within 1 hour of one another. I forget reason, but that's what some were told by their support reps. Most software glitches can be cleared using soft reset, aka infotainment reset.

If you flag a fault for Support to look for (long press your name) you don't need to keep track of them. You just need to mention that you did it when you submit the support ticket.

Awesome information! I do have proximity off at home. Will do the reset tonight. For some reason I’m getting a message saying my recent is limited, despite being at 70% SOC and the R1 hadn’t been driven yet. Warning showed up as soon as I put it in reverse. Weird.
