Heat Pump Timeline?

Hi Everyone, V2H has now been confirmed on existing and future vehicles via Reddit post by Rivian (Weekly Rivian Responds.

I was wondering if anyone has heard about the progress on the addition of a Heat Pump? Or if anyone knows how to post this questions on the next Rivian Weekly Responds posting for rivian?

This would really go a long way for winter driving range especially with the colder winter conditions that have been becoming more normalize the past couple of years.

I wouldn't expect to see a heat pump in a Rivian until the R2 series debuts in 2026. VW and Audi just dropped the heat pump from the ID.4 and Q4 due to the ongoing "semiconductor shortage" as well.

Last I had heard (Oct 2021) it was in development but not ready for the R1 launch. Here is related patent.
