Nothing out of the original preorder process.

Preorder was canceled by them because Anthony and company are weakasses that can't handle thoroughly deserved harsh language. They are looking for every reason for original preorders to drop along with the lower price committment associated with them.

I live on the island of Oahu and am curious if anyone here on this forum was crazy enough to ship a Rivian to Hawaii. I've seen two on the road in passing so far but I can't help but think how desperate one must be to ship one here. If the vehicle breaks down for whatever reason and requires a Rivian tech to troubleshoot/fix it needs to be shipped back to the mainland on a boat and then by trailer to a repair center. It will cost thousands just to have someone look at it. Obviously as a day one reservation holder, I haven't even considered taking delivery here even if it was an option.

Sadly, my most recent communication with Rivian last week still shows no service centers planned for Hawaii so it could be years before a Rivian will be viable in Hawaii. Super disappointing but I understand they need to focus service centers in areas that have enough demand.

Earlier this year I saw at least three R1Ts driving around Oahu, in spite of there being no service center there, nor on any of the Hawaiian islands. Those are some brave owners!

So you acted in a self admitted harsh manner and they fired you as a customer? That's their right to do so and if you feel that harsh language was deserved and appropriate then there's really nothing left to be done at this point. You can talk to whoever you'd like however you want, but the rub is they are allowed to deal with only the people they want and it sounds like they don't want to deal with you.

Hey Boss- just trying to help ya. I live on Kauai. Was a 1-2-19 pre-order to Hanalei. I was told in October of 2022 by Bend, Or. Rivian Owner that if I changed my delivery to mainland probably could get in to the shop. LSS, I changed delivery to Bend, OR. - my truck was delivered 12-30-22, but I compromised on color- from Limestone to El Cap.. I then shipped it to Lihue on Matson out of Oakland. I really don’t believe that Rivian will be shipping to HI real soon, so I was going to suggest you consider CHANGE OF DELIVERY LOCATION. I get your frustration as I had same issue. But I really wanted the truck.

Hey Riptide- was at Home Depot other day. A couple from Lawai came out to truck as I was loading and said they were shipping R1T over here next week. Their daughter had worked for Rivian as engineer for 2 1/2 years. They said they think there is one other Rivian on island in addition to my El Cap- they said it was a lite greenish color( Limestone I speculate). Anyway, I got his phone number so as soon as he takes delivery maybe we can all get together as you suggested.

Forgot- also will have my Xtrusion bed rack on by then-it has been 7 weeks and they still don’t have it to me. Outsourced powder coating issues.
