Has anyone else had to fight to get their purchase gear shop credit? Edit: Solved

It has now been 6 weeks since my R1S purchase (Miami). I got one of the credits but not the second credit for an end of the month purchase. I've contacted them 5 or 6 times and each time it's another excuse and they are working on it. After a month they sort of admitted that they never submitted it, but it's been 2 more months. Any idea how I excalate this? This has definitely soured me on Rivian.

No the shop credits were no problem, but what really pissed me off was I had a month of recharging left and took it to the service center for a simple adjustment that was supposed to be ready in a week. After calling several times each week I finally got my vehicle back in a month because the plates were going to run out. Sat there in the parking lot burning up my free charging, promise to credit it back but of course after several phone calls I gave up on that. But that doesn't mean I won't stop talking about it. The vehicle is awesome, too bad service sucks.

You got super annoyed because you lost a few dollars worth of charging credits. Wow.

It's a principal, a simple door adjustment and your vehicle sits in a lot for over a month and when you pick it up after calling to get your vehicle back for weeks it's so filthy you can barely see out of the windows to drive it to the car wash.
And yes I had two trips planned out of state hoping to use the charging infrastructure.

I wouldn't have taken it in for service if that was my problem and expectations.

You can still use the charging infrastructure, just cost you rather than Rivian a little bit.

Of course, like I said it's just the principle. You tell me my vehicle is going to be ready in a week and I have two out of state trips planned and was looking forward to using the charging Network on the credit that was rewarded to me. And then they tie it up for a month and it would be longer if I didn't raise a fuss and my plates were about to run out and I had to drive it out of state to renew them. Like I said I love the Rivian and the people are great to work with overall,

I got distracted by these guys who hijacked my thread....
Back in March they had a deal for leases and there was a second gear shop credit if you bought your vehicle by a certain weekend-presumably so that they could deliver by the end of the month. I haven't seen it since then.

Hijacked? You are the one who joined in the past 6 weeks and have posted very little except to complain.

Sorry to hear of your experience. I’m not sure what it is but it took forever for me to get reimbursed by Tesla when they made an error and charged me too much for registration.

It has to be a process thing but getting these adjustments can sometimes take a lot of time. It’s frustrating and shouldn’t have happened. I would specifically ask the person you talk to to…politely….to escalate the issue.

On the service I share your frustration and have experienced it. I have been very outspoken about the service and parts supply issues. I will say that I honestly believe Rivian is now taking service very seriously and they are working harder than ever to expand their service network. It doesn’t help that there is a shortage of qualified EV techs in the industry as well which makes recruiting and retaining these folks very challenging.

I am sure Rivian will get things sorted out for you…it may take time though.
