Scary post Halloween, woke up this morning with an alert from my truck saying charge immediately. I found my truck had discharged overnight. It is 40° outside when I checked the truck the cooling fans for the battery were running full. I had the truck plugged into my home charger, but it wasn’t actively charging at that time so I started my home charger and it said the charging rate was zero mph. I realized that I left the truck in the Halloween mode. I turned the truck Halloween mode off the cooling fans for the battery stopped running. I had to make a run to Lowe’s this am. Fortunately, my Tesla was ready to go so I took the Tesla instead of my Rivian to pick up my load. An hour later came back home. My truck was still low in charge so I decided to take it to the Tesla supercharger to restore the battery so when I use the truck as I planned for the day. As I’m going to a charging station, I expected to see preconditioning I did not see it. I looked at the battery temperature and it says was 103° and cooling down. I got to the supercharger with approximately 11% range and a battery had cooled to 99°. Software issue, I think so. No Halloween party for me.
