How are you all doing on tread depth after a few thousand miles?
I’m down to 9/32 after 2k miles, seems a little fast.
The tread depth when new is approximately 10.8/32nds. I have been happy with the treadwear so far.

Some before and after pics from today's install.

Before: ~25k miles on OEM Pirelli A/T 265/65/20:

After: Goodyear Wrangler Territory A/T 265/60/20 (still in tire change height)

Have only driven about 10 miles on them so for so cannot draw any real conclusions but the immediate difference in smoothness and noise is revelatory and hopefully continues.

They look a little less "macho" or whatever you want to say vs. the larger Pirellis, but the difference is less noticeable with the truck back in a normal ride height.
I need to see standard height photos of each! Lol. If you have the time...

I just ordered these yesterday for an install next week when I get my winter tires off. Anyone got over 10k miles yet and can report on tread wear?

that means you would get under 15k, and Gen 2 owners would be pretty vocal by now I think. Are you driving them hard?

no, I try to be gentle as I want high MPK. Will double check my measurements

Would these be ok if you were going to be towing, say, 6800 lbs regularly? (Pebble Flow)

Definitely not!
Out of curiosity - why not? The load rating is XL, seems like plenty of overhead with an additional ~680lbs of tongue weight for the Pebble Flow with a WDH.

Lots of reasons, big one is sway and road stability. Think of safety factor, do you really want to be on the side of the road from a puncture? I would prefer having 16/32 tread rather than 9 or 10/32… also puncture resistance will be substantially higher with the LT tires…
LT tires provide better safety, durability, and performance. Lastly, you will likely wear thru the tires very quickly if you are towing frequently.

Switched to the Goodyear’s about 2 weeks ago now and I have to agree with the general consensus that these tires are great. They told me my old Scopions had “cupping,” whatever that means but they were VERY annoying to listen to. Ride is smooth and quiet. Hard to gauge efficiency since it has also been warmer the past few weeks but it seems like it will be even higher than Rivian’s guestimate.

I have to agreed that the efficiency will be a little better than what Rivian said of 285 miles on Quad 100% charged. On my app, it still said 285, but Teslafi now predicted it at 293 at 100% charge for All purpose driving. I'm at one and half week mark with about 600 miles on it. Efficiency is slowly climb up.

Hi @DaveA and all, the Goodyear tire was designed specifically for the R1 platform to perform well in all conditions, including towing at max capacity. An aftermarket LT tire may be some amount better for towing stability, but would have compromises in other areas that might not be acceptable such as range or ride harshness.

Installed yesterday on a fresh set of MSW 52's. Just did an hour of highway + backroads to get a feel for them. Really pleased. Got 2.18 mi/kwh, 46*F outside and wet. That's on-par with my average on the 21"s of 2.2 mi/kwh! Legit didn't expect that without more break in.

The ride feel is definitely an improvement over the 21". Just a bit more feedback and connection. Tracks straight. I'm super happy with the look of the MSW 52's.

Related, I'm now selling 1x 21" full-sized spare, and 4x 21" rims. If you're in the PNW and interested, DM me!
