In one post you say you're working on something with Goose Gear, and in the next you say you're just focused on a camper. Which one is it? I'm stoked to get my GFC , but I will share that I find the communication from GFC a little off-putting at times. It's why I decided not to move forward with an R1T TBH.

As for the link, I've seen this and plenty of others. In fact I've spent hours upon hours of searching. Ultimately, I'm looking for something not hodge podged together, that fits as custom as the GFC to the bed of my truck, of which there's nothing that meets what I'm looking for unless I build out of 8020, exactly like the (original) GLSS. GFC seems to be pretty diligent about fitting all different types of truck bed shapes and sizes, so seems like a market that could be expanded into, and I'd certainly be a willing buyer.
Our goal with all comms is to be as transparent as possible at all time. That's never going to be quite as polished as a press release out out by a major automaker, but hopefully the upside is insight into our processes and responsive interaction. I'm writing this on my phone from a parking lot while shopping for supplies before heading to the cabin for the long weekend.

We're friends with GG (and many other brands), so we collaborate on stuff sometimes. In this case we happen to own an R1T, and are the first brand to develop a camper for one, so it makes sense for us to loan them our truck for them to develop their products for the vehicle. I don't want to say too much about that since I don't represent that company and don't know what they want to share at this time.

GFC's unique design and production system is really, really good at bringing an unprecedented economy of scale to custom camper production while making stuff that's lighter, stronger, more durable, and way more affordable than has ever existed before. Every camper or topper we make is custom fit to the exact dimensions and peculiarities of each year/make/model/trim of vehicle we support. This stuff is really hard to do!

We don't make campers by generic bed length, as was universal practice before we came along. And that adds a lot of complexity to any hypothetical interior. A system designed for the 4.5 ft bed in an R1T would be drastically different from any that could fit your Colorado, or an 8 ft bed Super Duty, or anything else. That's something Goose Gear has figured out how to design and produce for really well.

Have any other reservation-holders received a call from GFC to schedule installation in Belgrade MT or delivery elsewhere?

I think I’m in the first ten units and I haven’t heard from them. Hopefully soon!

I've called a couple times and while friendly,
I have not been able to get any idea of where I am in the line or when I can expect to start planning on finances/ potential travel time.

I pre-ordered day 1 of the launch so I would assume I should be near the front of the queue but alas, no clarity 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for bearing with us. The final step in this process was adding production capacity to handle the demand for R1T products. Just wanted to make sure we were giving you guys 100 percent certain dates.

The sales team started calling deposit holders this morning to finalize payments and lock in fulfillment dates. Existing deposit holders should hear from them by Monday. If you'd like to be proactive, feel free to call them (normal biz hours, Montana time zone): (406) 303-5181. I believe we'll start installs in October, but you'll get your firm date when you finalize your order, and you can adjust that to your own schedule.

If you don't yet have a deposit placed, you can join our normal production timeline, which is currently booked up until January. Live updates are available on the order page here: https://gofastcampers.com/products/platform-camper-2024

Even if you haven't already placed a deposit, you guys are hearing about all this before we announce it to the general public, press etc.

All good dude!
I was mostly just bitchin' in the wind 😂
Glad you posted this, my phone auto blocked a call this morning from Montana so I'm stoked I saw this.

For the forum members eagerly awaiting:
I was told I was the first preorder, #39969 (nice!), receipt says it was 1136am on 1Apr.
Waiting on the invoice now

For any Folks Interested, GFC is pretty bare bones and the community is super involved in making mods/ upgrades to make super dope set ups
Head over to GFC Forum to see the potential of the platform:

Today I finalized payment and scheduled installation next month. Looking forward to a great time in Belgrade, Montana and beyond! Thank you, Team_GFC!
I was told that my spot would be held for 48 hrs, but then when I called back wasn't offered the original install date, so we'll see what happens! Either way stoked for middle of Oct

Aww man I literally just got my extruded aluminum today to make my cabinet XD

Glad to see They kept spare access in mind.

Personally still changing my mind every day if I want to move the spare on a tire swing out back so I can have more storage space in the weather sealed compartment

I'm #2, #39970 at 11:52 am :) Unfortunately I had to pause on this install, I burned too much goodwill buying a trailer last year since it didn't look like any campers were coming to market. I'm still hoping I can get a GFC but I'll watch y'all shake the bugs out first :)

Very interested to see how the brake light (CHMSL) install works on the Rivian, I know GFC won't do it for you and I'm not sure I've seen anyone tap into those on the R1T yet - hope it's not too invasive.
