What a terrible company. How dare they. They'll never make it. Using covid as an excuse to delay so they can figure out how to make a truck. ?

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/07/21/gm-...up-truck-production-due-to-chip-shortage.html
Guess they got tired of shipping trucks missing features and functionality.

Apparently the Germans are also amateur's, I wonder how their dealers are explaining this to their customers that placed orders...

BMW can't finish production of 10,000 cars over chip crunch (msn.com)

Terrible company. Clearly have no idea how to make vehicles. :CWL:
Having just spent a week in a low mileage Chevy Malibu rental for business, I can personally confirm they have no idea how to make vehicles.

it was awful.

And that should tell you something about Chevy.

I’ve recently sold my truck to take advantage of the used car prices and am now driving a ‘04 f-150 xl, w 70k miles on it until my Rivian shows up (a gift from my bodacious dad)….

Yes, an ‘04. Manual windows, manual locks, tape deck. At least it has air.

How's you find an '04 with 70k miles on it?! That's impressive.

My old mans work truck. He retired a couple years ago and he hasn’t really driven it.

Same problem in the motorcycle world. I took delivery of a '21 BMW R1250RT in late April. No TPMS or radio due to chip shortage. No price reduction - they just gave me two BMW branded comm units (made by Sena) that their dealers can't sell. I tried to trade them to the dealer for other gear - no dice since they are just trying to clear the shelves of gear that no-one wants...

Don't need the radio but would have liked the TPMS.

To be fair that’s on the trim and not the year. My dads 2000 F150 XLT had power windows and a CD player. XL trims sold today lack power seats, though they might have power windows. Does anyone put CD players in cars anymore?
