I took delivery 3 weeks ago. I did run into my charge port not opening or closing fully. If I had to drive an hour to Brooklyn from Jersey it would really have annoyed me just a few weeks in. But getting a service request through the app was super easy and now they are sending a mobile truck to fix it.BUT - have stumbled across bad experiences, poor reviews, and the most recent battery dead issues. Not sure if I should consider my decision.
With any new product it’s expected to have some issues early on. I also have a Hyundai Ioniq 5 and my 12v battery died 18 months in. So issues will come up even with established companies.
A few things Rivian did still annoy me like no 12v power under the dash, no CarPlay, but there are workarounds that are not showstoppers. The pros significantly outweighs the cons.
I will never go back to ICE cars. EVs just drive so nice and smooth and quick and am saving a bunch not having to put gas in.
