I wrote the note about my wife's iPhone having the same audio problem as you, but my iPhone working perfectly with the audio on our Rivian R1S.I picked up my new R1S on Saturday in service center, I didn't test the sound system there. On the way home I tried to play radio but no sound, I thought there's something need to setup. While I arrived home, I tried radio, Spotify, phone Bluetooth, none of them made any sound. Even the navigation had no voice. I'm 100% sure it's not on mute. I contacted the guy who took care of my delivery, he let me reboot and reset the car, it didn't work. I saw someone online mentioned let the car "sleep reset", it didn't work as well. I submitted a service ticket and was scheduled to visit service center next Monday.
I was very excited to drive this new R1S, but now I'm kind of disappointed. This nearly $100k car has such a dumb problem that even a $10k car wouldn't have. How did it pass QA?
This problem was posted on Apirl 2024, there's no subscription in that days, the wireless connection was free.If you want the speakers to work that's a monthly subscription. Did you pay for that?
Thanks for the suggestion, but it was not phone related issue. Rivian has fixed it, it's circuit issue.I wrote the note about my wife's iPhone having the same audio problem as you, but my iPhone working perfectly with the audio on our Rivian R1S.
You could also try turning off the Rivian app on your phone and activating the Rivian from the KEY CARD ONLY and see if the audio / speakers work then.

For the thread: did they say what the issue was?Yes they fixed it.
They didn't talk the details, sounds like speakers circuit problem. For the thread: did they say what the issue was?
@BabyCarrot what was the circuit issue? Same thing just happened to me. Multiple soft and hard resets plus the recent 2025.60 update didn’t fix. So annoying to have zero music/safety sounds. Thanks for the suggestion, but it was not phone related issue. Rivian has fixed it, it's circuit issue.
I would escalate this with service. Tell them you don’t feel safe driving the car. I wouldn’t feel comfortable driving a car that was unable to Leo use any safety warnings/sounds.@BabyCarrot what was the circuit issue? Same thing just happened to me. Mine might be different with yours. Mine cannot be fixed through software patching, it had to be serviced in store.Spoke to a service rep. He said they’re aware of several “complete sound loss” vehicles that have randomly occurred like mine.
They’re working on a software fix adding that a service visit may not help.
