Catchy brand name and interesting product. Im in the market for a shell or topper, and came across this. I’m sure the Maverick ones could work with our bed. Unfortunately, this thing not locking is a bit of a dealbreaker for me.

But, I can see this being an option for dog lovers (crate in bed) as well as occasional camping/sleeping in bed. Can deflate to store away as well.

Welp, I just ordered one since it doesn’t appear there will any other options on the market soon as Softopper/Bestop has run into some delays in getting their model out. They were aiming for April 2023 when I reached out in January but things had slipped to still being “months away” when I contacted again in March.

This is probably the best option for my particular use case other than an RSI Smartcap which, unfortunately, probably isn’t going to be developed for several years, if ever. I’ll put up a review once it arrives, hopefully by the end of May 2023.

Have you gotten the flated in yet? I’ve been trying to wait out softtopper, but seriously considering the flated to give me something for my dog/gear. The measurements for the maverick seem to fit pretty well, curious what you’ve found.

Unfortunately no, it was supposed to arrive last month but there have been multiple issues with shipping delays. I ended up cancelling my order this week because I may not get it until July (or later) which is too late for 2 of my 3 trips I’ll need it for this year. I was gonna make a removable vinyl foot box that I could use to fully enclose the bed for sleeping which I think would have been really cool. Since I’d only get one use out of it this year at this point, I’m gonna figure out something else and see whether it’s still the best option available next year.

FWIW, Softopper no longer has any plans to develop anything for Rivian. They said there aren’t enough vehicles on the road right now but they might in the future. It’s frustrating that they didn’t just say that to begin with rather than telling me multiple times that one would be available s00n.
