Ahoy There Everyone!

After three months of development... (man I wish I was kidding about that). We are proud to present our Gen2 wireless charger!

https://s00nish.com/products/click-n-charge-premium-wireless-phone-charger-for-rivian-r1t-r1s

Below is an early photo prototype but you get the idea of overall look:

Features of the Gen2 charger:

We now include two qi2 compatible charging pucks! You will not have to source your own pucks, its included in our price. They charge at 15 watts with compatible phones.
Charge and hold your phone in place and no more annoying pop ups on the screen when your phone slides off the OEM charger.
USB Splitter or step-down charger: As of this moment we are either going to utilize our step down charger that will be powered by one of the center USB-C ports in the center console or we are going to use a USB splitter cable meant to share power. (We are leaning towards the cable, but we are still waiting on a last second update that should appear at the end of this month or early next month.)
OEM NFC reader is still in place! You can still use the NFC reader with the keycards and keeps all the OEM parts functioning.
Fun-Sized Vegan Leather Wrapped Granola Bowl then the OEM charger. Unfortunately, the days of the Grand-ola bowl are over .... (unless I figure out how to remove the OEM charger and keep the NFC reader), but our Gen2 bowl is still larger than the OEM one, and you can still enjoy a fun-sized bowl of granola.
Black-Ash Wood Veneer that blends in seamlessly with all of the Rivian interiors.
Rainier Topo Map lasered into the Black-Ash (custom topo's come back in two weeks)
Install is fairly straight forward. You will need a very small torx bit. I am looking in if we can source some ourselves. We will have an install video out before orders are shipped, but we are removing the OEM charger from the OEM frame and placing it into ours.

Let us know down below if you have any questions or comments.

I’m unclear who this is for and I think it’s because of the ā€œGen2ā€ labeling. Vendors probably need to be careful with that.

Is this your center changing solution specifically for Rivian R1 Gen2 vehicles?

Is this your charging solution to offer Gen1 vehicles the updated Gen2-style charger?

Is this simply your own Gen2 evolution to your original charger and it has nothing to do with R1 vehicle generations?

Umm. It's for gen2 vehicles. Which is a label that Rivian uses. We have a Gen1 wireless charger and a Gen2 wireless charger. They are separate items.

I just want to second what @agame32 said; I read the post and also asked myself whether this would be for R1 Gen2 vehicles or a second generation of the charging pad. I put the context clues together when the post said it kept the NFC functionality.

Just some friendly feedback/input to take as you wish... ,but everyone knows that a sample size of two is always statistically significant. ;)

I'll edit the post to say Gen2 Rivian vehicles. It's more obvious on the site but I can understand how some may get confused. I appreciate it guys.

You had me at hello. Just ordered.

After so many cars with wireless chargers that work some of the time or only work until the phone slides forward, this is a welcome improvement.

To be clear other Gen2 guys, the new ā€˜standard’ charger is not horrible. The problem with the factory version and pretty much all in the space with flat charging surfaces is that the phone slides forward when breaking or if you just touch it. Then, you have to find the sweet spot again.

Bring on the mods.

Now, I’m looking for someone to convince me that the chrome delete packages out there with vinyl wrap are on the market are really user installed friendly before I attempt and end up in sheer frustration.

The R1S I've been testing this on just added the chrome delete. It looks great. But I wouldn't do it. Take it to a shop.
