Rivian R1T R1S Gen2 Full Front & Full Wrap (DIY pre-cut PPF) now available from TWRAPS rivian wraps

Hello fellow Rivian owners

I am happy to announce that we officially launched our Gen2 wrap which accounts for the new mirrors, bumper lip (if you have a model without the hooks) and headlights. We're also able to lower our pricing a bit so here are the offerings (we have both Gen1 and Gen2 now):

Each wrap comes with all the tools you need to install it and installation video for each panel individually.
Notice that currently this does NOT wrap around the edges. I will be working on a version that does wrap around. For that reason currently we only offer it in clear/glossy PPF. Matte/satin PPF will come once I make it wrap and figure out an easy way to handle the badges (as they are not in consistent positions).

Happy to answer any questions you may have :)

Can’t recommend TWRAPS enough! I ordered a bumper precut 10 mil PPF and it turned out great (after I messed it up once and TWRAPS made me a custom piece to reduce the amount I had to redo!). Great product but even better customer service

I just ordered the full wrap for my gen 2 R1S. I agree customer service is excellent! Kind of cold where i am to start installing but any advice out there on what to avoid? I've watched the TWraps install videos a few times to familiarize myself, but wondering if others have real world experience to share.

My 5 cents:
1. Dirt and impatience are the biggest enemies. Use clean environment (definitely closed space), and be mentally prepared that it will take time.
2. Don't let it get dry and with bubbles underneath...you can lift up PPF and re-spray etc before it cures, so while you are working on a panel if something isn't looking right just peel off, re-spray and re-do.
3. If the ends are refusing to stick, use clean water to spray the adhesive side and try again with a plastic squeegee. Do most of the PPF install with the rubber squeegee though. Plastic is for edges only. If that doesn't work give it 30min to dry a bit and try again. You can also use a heat gun or a hair dryer to soften the PPF.
4. If you have issues don't panic, don't remove the PPF in frustration- just take some photos, email us and I will help :) I am here to support our customers, not just sell products. It's my desire to have customers who were happy they chose TWRAPS.

Thanks! :)

I ordered the full coverage kit, and just got around to the 3 "test" panels that TWRAPS includes to let you practice and decide whether you're up for the DIY. I was using the wrong squeegee and getting water bubbles underneath, and they were super-responsive over email in helping out. I re-applied the first test panel several times and got it looking perfect - I can't tell there's a pre-cut PPF on it, by look or by feel, unless I'm really searching for it.

It takes some patience and perseverance, and their have individual installation videos for every panel, which is *extremely* helpful in showing you how a pro applies, re-applies and fixes/finishes the job.

I'm probably going to take a month or so to get everything done, a panel at a time. I really like that I can do this at home, on my own time, rather than lose the car for several days.

Hi! Looks like R1T full front wrap link is broken. Just a heads-up

TWRAPS is the best. I smoked out my headlights and taillights with their 50%, came out amazing. It was not the easiest install, i got it i'd say 98% perfect. I agree patience is the key. A couple of times i wondered what i had got myself into but then just stayed calm and carried on. I'm hoping difficulty level of PPF on body panels is way less, either way can't wait to get started. Just need mother nature to warm it up a bit.

I would agree with Iliya. Patience is the key. You definitely need lots of time and a no wind space to work in. I got the entire car done, looks like glass over the surface, no trash underneath except for one small hair that I never noticed till done, but no one knows where it is. The edges although tacked down, now in spots have a visible dirt line. Not a fault of the product rather some crazy rain and snow that had Texas dust mixed in it that just penetrated on some edges, in Illinois, I’m sure others experienced this rain hail storm a couple of weeks ago. Over all 100% satisfied with the product, I’m 96% happy with my install of it. Here’s some things you will need in addition to what is recommended. A helper, can’t transfer the panels safely without one. A really good pump sprayer, you can’t do this with a 99 cent spray bottle. Some good squeegee cards, but not the professional ones. The pro ones are too sharp and you risk creasing the PPF and then you are trying to fix using heat. Speaking of heat, you don’t really need it, a good 70% alcohol tack solution is perfect, again in a good spray bottle. My routine was start at night, wash a panel, prep with clay barring and then polish. Use a panel prep spray and then finally rinse with hot water, then spray with soap solution, nit pick everything for a couple of hours after getting PPF installed on said panel, all at night. Then leave the car in garage until morning, come out and push down edges with the heat gun and pop any bubble with a diabetic needle. All in all I’d say I spent between 10-15 hours doing this, and a lot of water. Totally worth doing and an amazing product. Thanks for all the help Iliya.

I think one of the best outcomes of doing this is Rivian delivered the R1S to me with lots of scratches and paint blemishes that they claimed they could not get out. The polishing I did removed all of that. If any one from Rivian reads these posts, please just go ahead and hire me as your vehicle detailer going forward, my proof I’m better is sitting in my garage.

Oh and for the record for other people reading this thread - I AM working on a kit that will wrap around the edges. When that's finalized I will offer stealth PPF and color PPF (would require de-badging though). Here's preview - tackling the quarter panel. The aim is to achieve easy-ish installation with 0 disassembly except the removal of badges which is a must as their position is inconsistent.

Oh, suppose i should mention, the individual pieces come with all the tools you need. The whole vehicle wrap did not with any tools, just the wrap and the instruction guide.

We do have optional Pro Install Kit, but if you have most of the stuff that comes in it, I'd advise you just use that and save your money. We just buy most of this stuff off of Amazon to pack it for convenience. It's on my todo to fix that at some point.

Let me know if you will offer panels in Orange! Specifically the took hook covers and the side mirrors. I want to dress up my R1S like it's a R3X.
