Gen 1, Dual Motor Standard / Standard+ Get The Update Yet?

Where are the Gen 1 owners with the software locked "standard" battery packs at, I know we're in the minority of configurations but....has anyone gotten the update (.19.x) yet ?

I read on RivianTrackr it isn't fully baked for our configurations.

Nothing yet for me. Sounds like there needs to be a hotfix for ours due the high regen setting going missing on the update.

That's what RivianTrackr stated, I assume it must have rolled to some to identify that issue.

Yes, I had it Thursday afternoon last week and it messed up the Regen settings. At the time I called service and they hadn’t heard about the issue but set me up with a mobile appointment in July. Sounds like we should get a new update soon to correct the issue.

Same here Dual Motor w/ standard plus.
regen has low and standard only now, both behave identically.

waiting on the “hot fix” to come.

I got the update last Thursday as well. Noticed and assumed the Regen settings were now just called Standard and Low. Had it at High previously and I’m not very good at telling differences in driving.

@narmstrong79 I do have something you can check for me though. if you can. The music settings seem to have changed in behavior as well - this is based on comparison with another Rivian on an older software version (not Meridian though). In the newer version, I feel the Enhanced Surround Sound setting offers the same audio quality as “On” on the older version. I was unable to test Enhanced on this version though. Is that something you can check and prepare for before you update though?

Quad motor, large pack...no update. I dont think there is anything specific to the dual std/std+ not getting it...just the normal batching and roll out mechanism.

Yeah The update should be the same. But whereas the (can we not call it STD?) Gen 1 Standard pack are seeing regen issues with the update, i was curious how many of us got it, and I wouldn't be surprised if we're not at the back of the line which, even though i want the update now, I'm happy to wait until bugs are figured out.

Some stats for the roll out, granted only small piece of the pie is reflected in ElectraFi, but still a decent sample. Duals may be slowed or paused based on this, or there is just a lot fewer Dual vehicles reporting.

I typically have mine in advance.


I typically keep mine in enhanced, but if I throw on something like the "Still D.R.E" (Dr Dre) instruments, with my EQ set to hip-hop. I don't notice much different with the 3D audio settings.
