Garage Door Convenience Button

Just noticed that the last update (the Halloween Update) removed my convenience button on the steering wheel for the garage door. Does anyone know how to bring that back online...can't seem to figure it out myself. Also, with the launch of the Connect+ program ($149 annually), it would seem that Spotify now has to go through the Connect+ subscription?

No. It only needs internet access. Either through Connect+ or from your tethered smart phone. Either works.

It's happened to us twice since the Halloween update - Infotainment reboot fixed it. With that said, I put my old school garage door opener in the center bin for now so that we don't have to pull out our phones to open the garage door or do an Infotainment reset in the driveway.

Same, reset infotain and it appeared/disappeared shortly afterwards. For now, I'll just have to press the garage button on the main screen.

Thanks - I actually didn't think of that when it happened to us! I can open/close our garage door from my phone so I just pulled it out and took care of business. Since the steering wheel button appeared shortly after we picked up our R1S I completely forgot about the icon at the top of the screen!

Yeah for the last few days I've been having to use the main screen button at home. Interestingly, it still pops up as normal at my mom's house. But at my home it's been MIA for the most part

Did a system reboot a couple weeks ago due to radio issue (no sound), so need to do another reboot for the last update?

No. It only needs internet access. Either through Connect+ or from your tethered smart phone. Either works.

Tried to open spotify on my Iphone, which is bluetoothed to the car, but it did not work. Are you saying it actually has to be physically tethered?

I'm saying if you want to use the built-in Spotify app you need to have Connect+ OR use your phone's hotspot to tether your phone to the truck.

To use the Spotify app on your phone and stream audio over Bluetooth, you don't need to do either.

Start a wifi hotspot on your phone and connect the truck to that, and you'll be able to use the truck's built-in media streaming without a Connect+ subscription.

Alternatively, just use bluetooth audio from your phone.

Same thing happened to me, I went into the vehicles garage settings and toggled the show garage location button on/off. It is now working again, no reset required.

this has got to be one of their most buggy features. seems like with each new update the function gets wonky. for me now it randomly pops up while im driving and wont go away until i dismiss it and doesn't show up when im in front of my garage. kinda annoying.

ive tried resets, removing the icon, removing and readding garages. nada.

Interesting. Happened to me on the last update. Tried both forms of reset... nothing. Removed and readded the garage using the garage remote and it finally returned. Granted, not until I drove away from the house and came back. Also, somewhere in there, I did toggle the function off and on as well.
