Garage Door Control from 2025 R1S

I have programmed and added the remote control of my older Lift Master garage door openers but I have about a 50% success rate in them actually working (I have 3). Sometimes it will not open any door when I get home and most times will not close them when leaving. I have re-set them up a few times but nothing changes. I have the MyQ app that I have to open to operate the doors when this happens.
Question I have is does anyone else have this hit/miss operation? And does anyone know of add-on controllers I can add to my older Lift Master openers that work with Rivian? Is Rivian using Home Link protocols?

My suggestion, just press the button once. Sometimes it takes a beat or 2 to react. When they first came out I thought mine was finicky but once I started just one press and leave it alone it has been working 100% of the time.

Works just fine with the regular remote, just hit and miss with the Rivian.

Gotcha. Shouldn’t be the problem then.

I’ve seen others use the lift master receiver below to improve range/reliability with their Homelink vehicles.

I have two garages here. My normal parking garage doesn’t work 100% because the opener is old. My upper garage where my wife parks works 100% of the time and from further away which tells me it’s not Rivian but an older protocol in my downstairs garage.

I will get the previously suggested receiver installed and report back. I know this is a Rivian issue since these openers worked ok with my Home Link equipped cars.

Good to know, my Liftmasters do have the yellow antennaes. I already ordered the 850LM Universal Receiver but will try the HomeLink Compatibility Bridge Kit if it does not work.
What I liked about the 850LM is it says it can control up to 3 door and I have 3 so it should be a one stop solution. Thanks

Received the 850LM, wired it to my 3 doors and setup the new remotes. These are Security+ 2.0 remotes and work so much better than what I had before (from 2005).
In the Add Garage option on the Rivian I can add all 3 doors instantly BUT it will not control the doors. The Rivian recognizes the remote during the add option, controls the doors during the "send 3 signals" step and finishes with the "add location" step. I can scroll through all 3 on the steering wheel button, choose a door but then nothing. Doors do not open or close. I can see it does the little animation that it is sending a signal but nothing happens. Hit the corresponding button on the new remote and the doors open/close.
Guess I am going to have a remote on my visor like its 1996!
