Most of us on the forum will look at it as we get to see an early version of what we are buying and think that Rivian will use this as a way to make changes before production. A person that is not into BEVs will think that these pickups and SUVs are unreliable and not ready for them to make the leap to BEV yet. This is basically bad press so far....

I believe anyone watching this series would have started at the beginning, where it was made perfectly clear, these are prototype vehicles, having many painful lessons to learn. It is said often, I think in every episode, but these are prototype vehicles, making it hard for people to forget. I hope that people watch the series with optimism, and realistic expectations. Think back at the severe oversight Harley Davidson had with their charging methods, something the series implied was a potential game changer in the negative. One would think that that oversight would have been engineered in the early stages Of the Harley’s development, but somehow that was missed, that wouldn’t deter me from buying the live wire if I was a motorcycle rider looking to go EV. Although I do have a regret that the series did not pick the zero motorcycle, as I feel that was better designed for this trip. But that’s another topic for another day.
