I have an extra Roam lid organizer (this one) and realized it would be a perfect fit for the frunk lid. Now, the question is... how to mount it?

Has anyone removed the frunk lid cover? Any photos? Super excited for how convenient this is going to be...

Note to others in the future-- don't try removing the frunk cover on a hot day in direct sun! I started pulling on it carefully, and snapped two clips. I stopped, will try again in the morning.

You really need trim removal tools and extra care with pulling any of the trim off the Rivian. They have a tendency to become broken.

I'm curious what the hood looks like underneath with that panel removed. I had some body work done on my truck, and after I got the truck back found there is something rattling around inside of there (down by the hood hinges). I'm assuming it's broken pieces of those clips. The body shop said they would take care of it, I'm just curious how easy it will be to fish the broken bits out. I haven't tried removing the panel myself for fear of breaking more clips...

Abstract Ocean has a removal guide video here and you can see what it looks like underneath:

I removed my panel to install this decal and had no issue with broken clips while taking it off or reinstalling

rivian is replacing my trim panel next week, then I’m going to do it. I’m guessing the issue had to do with a combination of heat and a relatively old panel— if I can do it with new plastic in good weather, I feel like I’ll have a better outcome!

@swhme did you ever get this mounted? Curious how it worked out if so
I didn’t. I still have the parts ready to go, but I’ve been too chicken to actually do it. So far.
