I think the Brainexploder is $85 and the Built Right is $75 if I remember correctly.
BE is $65 without the frame. I had the Rivian supplied frame. Also, I received my BE in a few days after I ordered.

You are correct, sir. But it is still $140?! if you don't have the OEM plate. And it's plastic vice the steel of the Built Right.

I'm going with the brilliant $12 solution from @boardthatpowder and @godfodder0901 which uses the OEM Rivian from plate frame and aftermarket aluminum motorcycle clamps found here:

Does it just slide on the oem license plate frame similar to the brainexploder? I like using the oem frame just wish it wasn’t slide on/off so easy that anyone can snag it or it can fall off when hitting a pothole, etc.

Yes. You can run a screw through it like @boardthatpowder did.

I'm going with the plate in the frunk style. Get pulled over for no front plates? Show them the plate and the mount and tell them you're waiting to take it to the body shop to get the holes drilled.

I've driven 911 without front plates for 20+ years.

Never drill your front bumper! Snap plate is the answer.

I simply used two 1/4 inch zip ties fished through the factory front plate holder and attached to the driver side front tow hook. No issues with sensors. Still there after 12k miles

Be careful, zip ties are great until they’re not. My yard wagon ties failed twice so far, but I'll admit it does get some abuse.

Yeah, I agree. The zip ties I used are much wider than those now that I think of it, but you are right- they randomly fail

I've been struggling with the builtright plate holder for a week. Everywhere I mount it, it still sets off the parking distance sensors. I've lined up the screws/holes exactly as it is on their website and I'm setting them off and triggering the audio alarm (which I silenced) every time I slow down to stop.

Is anyone else having trouble with setting off the parking distance warnings with the hook mount solutions? I'm gonna give up and have them drill the plate in at my service appointment if I can't get this solved soon.

I had the same problem until this location...

The one screw doesn't quite go in right, I'll have to grind that slot out a bit too get it to fit, but doesn't set of the sensor and can't see it in the camera. Make sure you oriented the three plate the same way as I have in the photo to give the maximum clearance.

I tried something like that and it set off the corner sensor! Nothing has worked right for me.

Update: I mounted mine not-quite-all-the-way to the outside and it seems to be fine. But I am not loving the look in general, and am worried that once I add a license plate frame, I'll be back to setting off the sensors based on the minor increase in width.

Maybe one of those stickers is in my future. I am in CA after all.
