I was actually thinking about some cheesy graphics since I put my topper on. Nothing says supertruck (or car) like cheesy graphics and stripes. I was considering putting a big yellow stripe like a skunk down my entire truck, or maybe more like Herbie the Love Bug if anyone is old enough to remember that movie or saw the reruns. Or maybe just a slight off-center skunk line down the truck.

Then I saw your tasteful side stripes and thought I might scale it back a bit to be a bit more understated. I was thinking about a line going maybe from about the height of my front tow hook covers all the way back. Which was pretty close to your line, but maybe do mine as thick as the tow hook covers.

As for the headlights, I like them better in the dark than in daylight. Then again in general, I like the G1 face with foglights better than the G2 with the turn signals where the foglights were previously.

Just in case it wasn't obvious, I was joking a bit at the beginning but I have been thinking about some subtle graphics to break the truck up a bit.
Yes!
Bands de Le Mans is something I’ve been thinking about. I really like the pop the decals make on white trucks. Silver is just meh.

I love me some extra yellow.

I've been thinking about a roof delete, I used to do pillar delete on my 3 and Y but I think the rivian wouldlook pretty good with the hummer treatment.

I had thought about giving my model Y the Panda treatment and delete the A, B & C pillar with a wrap.

I think what you've started here might look awesome if you do the C pillar as well. I think with my topper. Here is a quick and dirty look. I'd wrap everything with a matte/satin finish though to match the toppers, wheel, and body cladding. I colored over the mirrors too. I think it might work quite well if I can match the finish close to the topper and wheels. They work pretty well in person. The are a pretty close match to my running boards that I haven't put on yet as well.

What are your thoughts on wrapping the side mirrors (painted sections) yellow? Kind of a tribute to the R3X design accent.

The entire mirror might be too much but a stripe could tie it together.

It will be crucial to get the right color match though.

I like the pin stripe on the side! I don't notice what you did on the front too much other than the top of the headlight looks chopped off. The main thing is to do what makes you happy! Happy modifying!

I didn't notice the headlight till you mentioned it.

Should angle it down and make it look mad! Lol

Just look at the front end of an R1S -- they all have a black roof, and A pillars regardless of color.

I agree - covering the mirror could be too much for my taste. It might be OK to cover just the painted top part, but still that is a lot of yellow. I like the stripe idea better.

I spent some time trying to find a yellow that matches the color Rivian uses. The pinstripe is not quite perfect, but I could not find a pinstripe that was a better match. And it is pretty close.

I did find what I think is a perfect match but it isn't available in a precut pinstripe. I got some sheets but not sure what to do with them. Cover the side mirrors? I tried to use it to cover the tow hooks but the wrap didn't look good. Too hard to wrap. Maybe a professional could do it.

Here is the yellow I think is a perfect match: Avery SW900 245-O Gloss Dark Yellow Supreme.

In person it is perfect. The picture looks too orange.

The front end really doesn't look different. Not really noticeable. Unfortunately, this is the design language and has become Rivian's brand identity. I think these vehicles look excellent from the side and from the back, but the front is their weakest angle. That said, I do like what some people have done to mildly tint the front light bar (works best on lighter colors) and I'm not opposed to those who have added black vinyl to emulate a faux grill either. Those are two items that are noticeable and help improve the front end aesthetics.

To me, the light bar looks significantly different. The black above and below the bar between the lights is a subtle difference that gets obscured depending on the lighting. The eyelids on the lights are Intentionally subtle.

My goal was to make slight changes to take the edge off the hippo resemblance while not making the changes obvious. People unfamiliar with Rivian will not realize the front has been modified. As you pointed out, even people familiar with Rivian might not notice the changes. That is what I was going for, actually.
