Looks like they have gotten well off following orders in sequence then.
Unless you ordered before August 2020, that number is randomized and meaningless. Can't say it was Aug for sure, but that is the month mentioned numerous times in the very long thread on the topic. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/find-your-rivian-order-number-post-it-here.644/

No, there were at least two noticeable overnight jumps in order number, and there was an article that indicated that the order numbers were also incremented by abandoned carts (30% 20%, 40%?)
nope. not even close. there is an old thread or two around here with some nice analysis showing several sudden jumps in numbering and some speculation as to how to account for those presumed counter "resets". Honestly though, it's safe to say we really don't have any clue as to the true number of pre-orders on any given date or how many may have cancelled along the way. The first meaningful info should be made public with the IPO.
They stopped using sequential orders in August of 2020 if I recall. There were something like 30k orders up to that point.
