Flashlight rattling in driver door - Gen 2 & 1 fix

Can the OP talk about the install? Mine seemed to take quite a bit of effort to install. I removed the OEM black plastic housing and was able to just get it too fit. What was the ID suppose to be?

I didn’t have to remove the black plastic housing. Did you print it out of flexible material? I was able to fold it and slide it into place. I figured every vehicle will be slightly different or possibly off center so I designed the fingers on the outside for that reason. That way you can cut them shorter if it’s too tight on the OD. I also use a .4 nozzle when I print them. I believe the ID is 37mm. I don’t have the cad file in front of me ride now. I tested various size ID and 37mm seemed to work the best for me.

Mine went in pretty easily. Did you print in TPU?

My wife had a colleague print, but he used some hard glow in the dark stuff he had on hand. I will redo one with tpu

Step 1 - Go out and shake my driver door to confirm light is rattle. If rattle present, proceed to next step.
Step 2 - Download and print the bookmarked printable! Note, use TPU.

Thanks for the post OP! I have the air compressor flap holder in use. I also have a hanger mount for the back of the driver headrest. Oh and printed some tablet brackets to hold my tablet over the main screen. Loving the mods for my R1T!

I believe this is the Thang I printed, initially only had PLA but upgraded to a Bambu and printed in PETG in the last year to help with any heat resistance if the tonneau is open and it gets full sun, etc.

You will definitely want to print the compressor door lock in either PETG or ASA.

Just installed @Jason C's flashlight holder that he printed and shipped to me... super easy install, fit like a glove, and completely stopped the rattle! Thank you!!
