First Tesla Supercharger with "Magic Dock" CCS adapter successfully charged a R1T. This is fantastic!

I wonder if the parking job could have been better in that picture or if that cable is so short that the R1T pretty much had to go nearly parallel to the curb.

Why can't tesla just replace the cables with longer version for the stations that will be opened up.

Tesla already has to deal with people who cut the cable, I am sure they could just replace it with a longer version instead of having people park all over the place.

I charged my Plaid recently at a Tesla SuC and paid the $.57/kW extortion rate. Will stick with EA for the R1T, unless I have no other option. Not paying the Charlatan (aka, Elon) that kind of money, off peak and during weekdays!

Yup. Stoked to have additional availability, and will use when convenient or necessary. Definitely opens up road-trip options even more in the middle of nowhere, which is kind of exciting.

On the L2s in between the DCFC stations? If so, those are open to anyone already and are free.

When Rivian enables V2I, you can charge your Tesla from your Rivian and then refill the Rivian from the Supercharger.

i charged at my local ea station last night and a model y showed up to charge. I didn’t do anything silly, but man, my inner petty was just screaming. I have some growth to undertake…

Glad this is happening. I hope Rivian opens up their RANs at some point in the future too.

Charging networks should solely be positive externalities, not moats.

If youre road tripping and not using fast chargers as primary charging, price shouldn’t matter as much as reliability. Who cares if it’s 40 cents or 50 cents if you know youre going to be charging at a station that is fast and reliable.
