Fast forwarding song in Spotify

I may be delusional, but I could swear I was able to use the slider below a playing song to fast forward within the song when listening to Spotify. This said, I can no longer do this and am curious if it is the result of my Connect+ subscription expiring or the most recent software update.

So, is it possible to fast forward within a song when listening to spotify via bluetooth? If so, what am I doing wrong?
