Came across a new photo dated early Jan, of the production floor (Sorry I don't want to be more specific---lets not make it too easy for the Rivian lurkers):

If I had to guess; and its a big guess, maybe this an area of the line where they're appling vehicle wraps and the PPF we've noticed on the R1T's? Pure speculation on my part.

I'm pleased with the number of R1Ts in that shot. I hope the floor looks like that every minute of every day until mine is in the parking garage :D

I'm actually a bit puzzled and tad curious about all those R1T parked in every open space on the factory floor. That would not be a way to run a high-vol. production line. My guess is they are being temporarily held pending some fix like the powered tonnaeu cover mechanism. This same observation applies to RJ's vid clip of many trucks parked outside "ready for delivery to customers." My guess is they too are on-hold pending some final thing(s).

Yeah, it's odd and a bit disconcerting to be honest.

I drive by auto plants pretty regularly. It's not unusual to see hundreds of vehicles parked in the lots ready to be shipped somewhere.

I bet if you went inside you would not find vehicles spread-out across the factory floor in every which-way shoehorned in. ;)

When there is an issue you will. Have seen it several times.
