Many of us fleet reservation holders got order info today... But no finalized pricing and no ability to order for now. It seems fleet orders will be invited in January when retail orders are starting, not before like their communication yesterday indicated. This is a total clusterf@%k of epic proportions. Back when Ford screwed all the Bronco reservation holders, I placed reservations for two Explore package R1Ts. It was a bit pre-IPO, but still pretty recent. I'm figuring they will still fill all our company EV truck needs and cost about the same as ER battery XLT Lightings and if our Lighting Pro orders slip into mid 2023, I'd rather give the money to Rivian.

I have been a long-time Ford guy. But the whole Bronco situation has really pissed me off. If they screw with Lightning customers and do the same handing of allocations to their bigger dealership conglomerates and not honoring reservations based on first come, first served, I'm probably done with Ford. I have purchased an average of 12+ Ford trucks/SUVs between business and personal every year for the past 18~20 years. And I've already sent a couple nasty emails to Ford over the Bronco reservations. Spoke with one of their corporate / regional sales specialists. Of course that guy was apologetic and wanted to accommodate me. Yet he can't actually do anything.n I'm a day-one Bronco reservation holder who still can't order a Bronco because at first my desired options were not available to order. Some options still not available, but more than that, they've cut all the small and mid-size dealerships out of the loop for allocations... Reservations be damned.

To make matters worse, they're supposed to have 2, maybe 3, special edition Broncos for 2022. They announced the first, the Everglades Edition, today. Looks cool... I can't actually order it. I can contact one of the bigger national chain dealerships who are getting allocations and put my name on some list of suckers who are willing to pay a minimum of $20K premium to get one and hope to order one. F*%K You, Ford. Seriously... F@$k you very much.

There are three dealerships I work with. I like all of them for certain things, but they have all treated me well over the years and value me as a customer. They are so pissed off at Ford for the Bronco situation that two of them may be dropping their Ford franchise over it. One of them for sure if their Lightning customers get screwed.

Sorry... rant over. I had a couple people DM me and at least one ask in the forums how much it is to add the ER battery to the XL trim $40K Lighting Pro. The answer is, I don't know! They won't say. Looks like we don't get official or final pricing until we are invited to order. :(

Yes
doubtful , but keep in mind by then the Rivian will already be a 7 year old design ??‍?
No matter how many times you post that in however many threads, it doesn't make it true, nor does it even mean anything if it were. You busted through the doors of this forum like a drunk fool in the tavern babbling while everyone here is just looking at each other shaking their heads. Your photo is appropriate though.

Maybe you should familiarize yourself with the Bronco situation and re-read what I wrote. They’re not considering dropping a franchise over a customer. They’re considering dropping it because Ford keeps altering the deal for all customers and for the dealerships themselves. One dealership in particular that I work with took in over 400 Bronco reservations. They were only able to deliver about 15 of those in 2021. They were given TWO (2), yes just two, allocations for Bronco orders when ordering opened for 2022. And they were told they could prioritize 25 of their reservations however they saw fit. The problem is Ford keeps changing the game as they’re allowing the larger nation-wide dealership chains control how it all works. Then those larger dealerships, who are getting 200+ Bronco allocations are shuffling them to sales locations where they can heavily swing the market or greatly affect the competition. The above-mentioned dealership with their two allocations is where I do my fleet purchasing. They’re not the ones thinking of dropping their Ford franchise. But they’re definitely not happy. Another Ford dealership near by is a national chain — they sell fewer vehicles by far from this local store than my dealership does and don’t even have a dedicated fleet department. Yet they have Broncos, usually getting shipments of 5 or os at a time and parking them out front with balloons tied to them and +25% ”market adjustments”. Most of them have green window stickers, which in Ford speak means they were a customer order. But because of slimy dealer tactics, like demanding a $20K premium when the customer comes in to pick up their new Bronco, the customer passes and now it’s out front for sale. Most of them are sold within about 10 days because the market is starved for new vehicles and some are willing to pay a lot more to get a new Bronco. Even F-150 XLTs with no special options are going for $5K+ over MSRP right now.

Ford is now doing the same with Lightning reservations. They’re starting to tell dealerships how many allocations they will have and will allow them to prioritize a certain number of their reservations. And how many allocations they can use for non-reservation orders. Dealerships have to submit their priority lists by tonight. Several have been contacting customers this past week trying to up-sell priority positions. That nearby national chain dealership is one of them. They are telling all their reservation holders that all ‘22 model year Lightnings will have a $25K market adjustment added to them. And then they were asking for a $5K non-refundable down payment to prioritize their order position and guarantee a spot in the first wave of orders.

My dealership and I had a good laugh about it. Some dealerships actually care about their customers. Yes I know, hard to believe. Car dealership = bad, I get it.
