So we encourage you to join (or start) special-interest and regional-based Rivian clubs at: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/group-categories/clubs-groups.1/
Well, that's the rub here. Ford increased the price of the XLT with the Extended range batter above $80K. None of their 300+ range trucks will qualify for the tax credit. Buyers would have to settle for the 240mile truck.Gotta adjust the price so Ford benefits from the new rebate. The new rebate benefits the car manufacturers not the consumers
Yep, I have a reservation for a Lightning, too. We would absolutely need an Extended Range. At the old pricing, it was already a hard sell versus a pre-price-increase Rivian; now it's a no-brainer. Not only has our selected configuration gone up in price itself, but it is now well above the $80k mark (we were at $78k and change) so it's actually a $16,000 price increase. Absolutely not worth it compared to the Rivian.Well, that's the rub here. Ford increased the price of the XLT with the Extended range batter above $80K.
