Prepare for Rivian’s Digital Purchasing Experience​ A good North American mapbook offers millions of miles of paved and unpaved roads, with endless opportunity for choose-your-own-adventure exploration. A few turns from the freeway or far off in the potholed back of beyond, we designed the R1T and R1S to take you anywhere you want to go — enjoyably, reliably and 100% emissions-free.​ Plug. Unplug. Go. With an R1T or R1S, you’ll have plenty of range to roam on a typical day. For longer trips, though, you might need a few stops to charge. If you’re new to EV travel, these Rivian basics can make road trip planning as easy as a few taps on a screen. Set to Trip Our vehicles have Daily, Extended and Trip settings. Choosing Trip allows the battery pack to fill to 100% so you can go as far as possible on a single charge. Using the Conserve mode helps you go farther, too. Use Your Apps Simply enter a destination in the Navigation app on the center display touchscreen, and the trip planner will locate chargers and direct you to the most convenient stops along the way. You can also find chargers ahead of time in the Rivian app on your phone. More Options = More Trips The Rivian charging network is steadily expanding, and Rivian vehicles are also compatible with public networks like ChargePoint, Electrify America and others. These chargers are integrated with the vehicle’s trip planner, and you can pay for several networks directly from the Rivian app by linking a ChargePoint account. DC or Level 2? The touchscreen Navigation app lets you sort chargers by charging speed. DC fast chargers will fill your battery pack faster than Level 2, so look for DC if you’re taking a quick pit stop before carrying on. Level 2 chargers are great if you’re stopping for a few hours or overnight. Power Up DC fast chargers range in power. Since higher power means faster charging, it’s best to choose DC chargers over 100kW to reduce charge time while traveling. Our most recent software update increased the R1’s peak charging speed to as much as 215kW when using the highest-powered chargers.​ More About Charging A few of us from the design team set off in an R1T for a road trip from Palo Alto to Yosemite National Park, researching how we can make charging as simple as possible for Rivian owners. We plugged into the Rivian Waypoints Chargers in the park — and also found time to hike, soak in waterfall mist and chow down on delicious food at the Lucky Buck Cafe. Definitely would have loved an update on RAN plans.

Also, the font switched from Rivian's in the title/header section, to what appears to be standard Arial font for the body. Obviously in the grand scheme of things this is minor, but felt noticeably off-brand reading it.

Just got it. Still no guide. Funny thing is Ford sent out an email earlier this morning on charging the Lightning on a road trip too.

At least Rivian isn't the only marketing department that is tone deaf.

Odd, I did not get this one or the previous one about Prepare to take delivery.

Checked spam and junk folders, nothing there. Even more bizarre I contacted CS and they show they were received. I wonder if there marketing account [email protected] is on some spam filter.

Anyone else using an Apple .me account that are still getting these emails?

And did anyone get the Ford email today as well about road tripping the Lightning? Actually got that one first. Hmmm... Interesting they both send out nearly identical emails on the same day.
