Jimmy,

Good catch, good call. How would a person do that? Does it have to be the thread starter? In this case, that would be njcoach24. That type of technology is well above my pay grade (and, let's face it, my abilities). ?
It is up to @Administrator...

I'll leave this right here...

Not to be that guy, but why is this in the Rivian General Thread? Shouldn't this be in "Rivian vs. Competitors" thread??
I click on "NEW POSTS" (or UNREAD) and read 'em all. I have no idea what 'area' each post is in. I don't even know what areas exist. I don't use any forum that way. Sorry if that puts replies where you don't want to see them.

It only matters when your start a new thread, not when replying to an existing one.

What's everyone's bet as to when the first Lightning lands in someone's garage?
I read a few articles saying they are aiming for mid 2022.

I think August 2022 is fairly realistic.

The Mach e was supposed to start deliveries in late 2020, and Ford barely made the target by delivering a few at the very end of the year.

I think Tesla will beat Ford in the race to get their truck into the hands of consumers, but even though Ford will get a late start there will be more electric F-150s delivered in 2022 than Cybertrucks.

It is useful though when you are trying to locate a topic in a particular thread. Who would think to look for the Ford Lightning reveal in the Rivian General thread?

Very curious about rear setup. Motor in back should demand IRS setup

“How do we distinguish it as an EV?”

“I know! Toss a light bar on the front!”

- Ford designers, probably

Wonder if the are going to finally build the Lightning’s SUV sibling, the Expedition Thunder. I am amazed that among all this ev truck fever, only Rivian has chosen to make a SUV companion to their truck. Maybe less of us need a 3 row suv than I originally thought.
Maybe but there is a thread out there polling R1T and R1S LE reservations.

Seems to be running 2 SUVs for every 3 Trucks.

That does seem like a pretty good size market waiting to be filled.

I wonder how many are buying the R1S for the three rows vs. other reasons. It seems there are a fair number of people that prefer the 5 seater to the 7 seat option. It might be that the smaller crossover style ev suvs are more than enough space and performance for those that want an suv. When you have 4 kids in Colorado though, a 3 row, body on frame suv is the only viable option outside of a Sportsmobile van.
