They could ask everyone how many shares they want without any cap but include a notice that depending on demand you may not get your full request. Once the deadline for requests has passed, if there was more demand than shares available, lower the cap until the total does not go over. It wouldn't take more than a few minutes to calculate the cap once you have everyone's requests in a spreadsheet.Please outline how they would logistically offer 45,000+ people more than the average allocation of 175 shares, and then piece together the puzzle to stay under the 7% total allotment without pissing people off, all within just a few days. I'm anxiously awaiting.
There's no other way this could be handled realistically.
And if demand is really that much higher than the supply, they should consider raising the price.
