I've seen several posts on here with people worrying about charging in Mammoth. With the Tesla announcement today, we are on the verge of problem solved once we receive the adaptor in April.
For those headed up soon here are my notes: I drove an R1S, SoCal to Mammoth last week. Charged to 80% in Bishop. Lost 18% going up the mountain and 10% coming down. Roads were clean, which helped. Only lost a few percent overnight in a covered garage. Had plenty of charge to get around town for 4 days.
The Village Lodge has 2 chargers in the garage, but they are super slow and only add a few miles per hour of charge.
