This is why people like me wanted TFL to get a Rivian?

Cool I guess, although the 0-60, 0-100 times out there for the Rivian suggest the end result. I guess I'm more interested in the charging curve since I'll have more exposure to that than drag racing.

Interesting how no one seems to be able to get close to 3.0 seconds 0-60.

don’t get me wrong, 3.6 is plenty fast (especially on ATs) but I’d like to see Rivian show, and someone independently verify, how they get the 3.0 spec.

I would suspect the 22’s will shave off a good amount on the 0-60.

Y-Performance on "snow tires" really undermines that result even with R1T on ATs. Don't get me wrong.... I loved it! :p

Think about it... on AT's this vehicle outruns probably 98% of vehicles on the road up to 60-80 mph range and then with the push of a button can just roll off-road and outperform about 98% of stock vehicles considered "offroad capable." Truly astonishing what Rivian is.

My prediction is that the R1T with the 22" performance tires on a proper track surface and preconditioned battery will actually see a sub 3 second 0-60MPH, might be after a OTA update to optimize a bit. Either way it's a party trick and 2.9 seconds or 3.2 seconds is equally impressive for my purposes the only difference is bragging rights.

put a roll out in there like most test/claim 0-60 have and it’s gets a bit closer. Summer tires and it gets even closer.
Rivian times always included factoring in a rollout

OMG, that is the worst drag strip I have seen on a car review channel. It is possibly even dangerous to use that track for testing.
Either way, great to see (the predictable) outcome of R1T beating the TRX (it was beaten on paper even before the race).

Nope - not sad. That TRX looks great and rugged.
Thinking about the nearly 1k a month I'd be spending on gas made me puke in my mouth a little.

Can't look rugged doing that. ?
