Does the R1S have electronic sway compensation for towing like the Land Rover LR4 (ie. no need for sway hitch)?

Just asking because the Sales Shop guy said yes, I don't see it as an automated feature.

For the curious: The LR4 doesn't need a load compensation hitch to avoid trailer sway as it is built in to the safety features. Putting a sway compensation hitch actually hinders the safety features on the LR4.

It appears I may have been misinformed? Not a huge deal, but I need to know if Its time to get a new hitch for my trailer now that I am moving on to the R1s.

I don't use a WDH for my 5k+ single axle camper and it's mostly okay. Only an issue with 3/4 full tanks that slosh back and forth.

Supposedly Rivian has electronic anti-sway, but I don't think I've ever had an aggressive enough sway for it to intervene. I am quite good at not overcorrecting at this point.

The Rivian manual specifies use of a WDH when towing over 5000 lbs.

One person asks about sway control, and people respond with info about weight distribution. Two different things. I have never and will never use sway control, on any vehicle, but use WDH when above around 50% of the vehicle capacity.

OP, which one did you mean?

Curious why you don't use any sway control? What WDH do you use? Thanks.

According to the manual, vehicle provided trailer sway control is always on when towing.
