Had a small nail in my tire and identified a slow leak, thanks to the dashboard indicator. Contacted Rivian Service and asked them where a good place in the LA area was to have it repaired. Service advisor said that all the Discount Tire stores had received jacking pucks and were trained .in their usage. Contacted the closest one in Pasadena and they did not have them and declined to service. Contacted another Discount Tire and the manager said they had the Rivian pucks. I confirmed that they had the pucks verbally on arrival. The manager went so far to say “ we service Rivians all the time” . As I watch the tech start to jack up the front the manager walks over and says to the effect of “make sure you use the puck” at which time the tech says “I am”.
Whatever the puck was used, I’m guessing it’s not a Rivian puck. Nothing was removed. It was just lifted with the jack.
Minor damage at the jacking point. Should I be concerned or just pissed off?
