I doubt the weight of the 22" Pirelli tire is 37 lbs which is what TireRack has it at - they've been known to be off. Walmart has it at 44 lbs.
Let me work with Variant for you on this one. We'll need to confirm with their engineering dept that this will handle the load rating. If for some reason it doesn't, it's also not out of the question for us to alter the design and (for instance) beef up the spokes or whatnot.

It would be nice to see some test results on an R1 to know just how much they improve performance and range.
