I did screw that one up. Multitasking sometimes means doing many things poorly all at once. :facepalm:

They are. They use the same platform (T1) on the Expedition as the F-150 but the Expedition has independent rear suspension. It’s not unreasonable for them to use the same frame for an IRS F-150, maybe even the exact Expedition frame.
This article (we know trusting what we read these days is worth) says it is a new frame

I do recall them saying it was built with the strongest steel they have used on frames last night.

With all that I’ll flip a coin, heads it might be new, tails it might be old…. ;-)

It probably is a ”new” frame, but it’s probably not much different from the old one ?

It probably needs stronger steel for better impact resistance and also for the weight, that battery is gonna weigh in at 2000+ lbs
