I'm extremely skeptical of most battery claims that come along, especially the ones seeming the most fantastic. However, it would be truly game changing if EVs could move away from lithium.

Good read Electruck. I too am skeptical of these new technologies that can show viability under ideal lab conditions. Seems like every week a similar research group is coming forward with a breakthrough moonshot energy storage technology. Eventually though one or more will prove to be economically scalable and will blow up, figuratively lets hope. I can't wait for when it does it will be transformative for renewable energy, carbon capture, clean water etc... so many of our problems can be solved with cheaper abundant power.

I'm counting on big advances in potato battery technology. Cheap, plentiful and renewable. Only downside is occasional famine.
