I'll be in for one after New Year's. Now if we can just assemble it without the roof rails, I'll be a very happy camper.

If we can get it with just a window and not a sliding window that would be awesome too.

Just thought of something else that would be awesome for Gen 2 of this. If you could make the top rail (or roof) have a fitting where the factory crossbars could mount on it.
The roof rails can be removed from the whole assembly. We will just need to provide longer bolts. The sliding window can also be removed.

That's a nice looking unit, and much more budget-friendly than other option(s). It looks very functional, too.
How deep is the side window storage box?

Looks a lot like the RSI cap made of SS for my Tacoma. Designed in Africa. Is this the same product only in aluminum.

Definitely interested. Does it block the bed view camera? I assume it does.

I am surprised it hasn't been asked yet, but what it the efficiency impact?

How easy to take off once on?

Also how bad do the cab brake lights reflect back into the cab or rear window?
I wonder if a little window could be incorporated to allow the bed-view camera to see inside the topper into the bed?

Very interested in one of these, can you take a picture straight on from the back with the topper & tailgate closed? Just want to see the profile compared to the cab. Thx!

Update: 12/30/2024

1) We have gotten 4 orders so far and we are so close from being able to get the production order in!

2) I have also received request on expedited shipping, The shipping weight is 115kg/254lbs. The price already covers the ocean freight shipping which takes about 55days. I am also getting a quote on what the additional shipping cost is for an air freight. My guess is going to be around $600.

3) Once we have enough orders, I will confirm the order specs with each individuals.

I have created a website for the truck cap.

https://autofitpro.co/products/truc...ivian-r1t-2022-present-gen1-and-gen2-deposits

We will need to have a minimum of 5 orders before the order can be placed

We are looking at end of January if we put the order in about 1 week or so.

I have recently got a hard topper custom made for the R1T and wanted to know if anyone would be interested in group buying. Currently there is only one available here and it costs over $5k and 4 months of lead time.

The topper is made of black anodized aluminum alloy with several options available. The weight is roughly 85kg or 187lbs. The roof top static/dynamic load is 450lbs/720lbs. There are cutouts for the gear tunnel, cargo bar mount, and the trunk release. The tonneau cover will no longer work because of the mounting point.

It comes in 5 main pieces and the assembly took about 4 hours by myself, it's mostly bolting them together, putting it on the truck took another hour and half with 2 people. All the hardware/weatherstrip/sealants are included.

The first one that I have is a prototype and there will be a few changes for future orders.

1) the mounting point, currently it uses all 4 tie down points and the middle rail is misaligned, that will be fixed and align with the existing truck bed.

2) The optional side window storage box will have a 2" cutout for gear tunnel access.

We will need a minimum of 5 orders for this to be possible. Once I have gathered enough interest, I can create a website for the credit card payment and details.

A $600 + Upgrades deposit will be needed for the ordering, and the remaining balance will be due once it is ready to be shipped. A proof of image will be provided.
Ordered mine! I think that puts us over the minimum.

I think that is possible. This can probably be changed later this year.
Any chance to work this in for this run or a way to retrofit if not? I'd rather not drill a hole if I don't have to. I'll have my dog back there and this would be very handy. Also to see if anything tipped over.
