I'm envious. I live in Seattle and haven't received mine yet. I think I was the second person to put in a order.
Maybe yours will get there with no damage. If so, it was worth the wait.

Got it installed, no real surprises except I was short on hardware (8mm nuts). I bought some weather stripping to run a single strip around the outside to weather-proof the buttons/holes. Mine had a couple small scuffs and dings, but nothing like the pictures above. Really digging it, we need to figure out a 3-way harness to get the 3rd brake light going.

Definitely worth doing the extra weatherstripping for the buttons. I really like how it goes with the silver. Looks like you didn’t get the tinted windows.

I am checking with the shipper. Your order was supposed to arrive at the port on 04/12. There could have been an inspection which could take up to 3 weeks.

I thought I'd buy 2 of the Weistec adaptors to have options and just maybe use them at the rear. Wow, was I shocked when I went out and saw the shipping costs. They want $28 for the cheapest shipping option. Add in another $4.85 for insurance, I am looking at almost $33 just to ship to tiny parts. WTH!?!?!

Maybe they thought they were shipping gold ingots...

So to add to the future product:
  • I highly recommend a clear front glass on all orders - even with the tinted sides & back. The tinted rear truck window, plus in and out of the topper makes the rear view pretty limited.
  • Better hardware control - I was 9 8mm nuts short, and had two bags of random nutcerts and bolts that I didn’t need.
  • Better install instructions - I missed sealing the two side pieces along the roof rack mounts, and see in a rainstorm today that’s a problem and will need to address. The picture only showed the two end caps.
  • More weather stripping to go along inside & outside of base.
These are just suggestions, overall very happy with the topper 😎

The front window of the topper on mine is not tinted. Odd

Thanks, I appreciate the offer. Assuming sales taxes doesn't eat up the difference. ;)

For now I am going to mount the way it came from factory, but I may try and set something up similar to how the Overland Ruff Rax mounts. He made some awesome pieces that slip under the Rivian cross bar mounts and are super solid. A piece of metal with two holes to line up to the Ruff Rax threads and bolt down to the topper bolt holes would work well. I just don't have a way to cut metal here or I would take a stab at it.
ORR uses the DCE accessory port adapter

See here for wiring up the 3rd brake light.

I am pretty sure I ordered mine without the window near the cab not being tinted. It is almost way too dark between all 3 windows to see out of even in the day time.

There is an issue with the rear tailgate door hydraulic strut contact the seal. It was already ripped when I got the topper. I need to find a better way to clearance it so it doesn't continue to tear it more.

On the plus side, I did a very good job sealing it. We had massive rains and flooding the last 2 days. Only a little bit of water on the bed rug. I could have slept in there and been pretty much dry. A 100 times better than my manual tonneau cover and a good 10 times better than the Weathertech tonneau cover.

I am rethinking whether I am going to use my manual tonneau cover. The window tinting is pretty dark and you can't see what is in the bed very well as it is unless it is a fairly bright object. I am not sure the hassle vs the benefit is worth it. My 2A stuff is already out of sight. Not to mention, the manual tonneau cover is so kludgy to use. I might consider it more if I had the PTC but that thing isn't worth the cost and how unreliable it seems to be.

Nice solution. Cool, if I had a welder handy, I'd do the same thing. What is weird is it is only happening on one side. I am pretty sure mine came ripped from the factory.

Same. If i am looking at the back only the right side had a tear in it.

We need to figure out how to get the back door to open higher. Probably my only complaint.

I have an almost permanent line across my forehead from slamming into it. Not an issue when I have to bend over the tailgate when it is down, but when it is up, I've hit it more times than I care to admit in a public forum. I don't have the muscle memory for it yet. The side doors are fine.

I am still surprised by how many compliments I've received about it so far. While it quite go entirely with its styling, nothing I've seen yet does either. At the same time I like the rugged look of it more each day. I think the tire and wheel pairing help. I might not like it quite as much if I were running some of the minivan looking tires that are out that along with the 21" aero wheels.

Still impressed about how well the sealing turned out. Absolutely worth the effort I put in along with the triple strip stuff I used. The extra strip around the buttons also seems to help keep dust at bay. They are doing a lot of construction near me and so far the interior has been doing great with staying pretty clean.

I do hate the tinted cab facing window more every day. I am still pretty certain I asked for only the side and rear windows tinted. I think maybe someone got my topper by accident. I was already considering looking through 3 tinted windows when I wanted cab facing window to be clear. Need to see how we can retrofit.
