@Autofitpro - do you have a soft copy or scanned in version of the instructions? I had to put my topper in a garage far away from my house and had to hurry back for meetings so no time to open it. I want to make sure I have all the tools I need when I go back to assemble it. Thanks!

I can check with the manufacturer but I think I threw away the instruction as soon as I finished putting it together. Tools wise, a variety of hex wrench in metric units will be need, specifically m6,m8 and m 10. A socket wrench set will be good for tightening the four main m10 bolts. Some other general tools can be handy. Paper towels to wipe off excess sealant when weather proofing the cap. I think that's pretty much it.

It would probably be a good idea to use Loctite 222 on those fasteners, so they don't too easily vibrate apart.

I had thought about that too but will do it after I decide whether to leave the roof channel in or not. I think I'll like the smoother design if I leave it out but I haven't if I'll mount anything on it or not such as a kayak or canoe carrier.

How long did it take you to put it together? Did you buy the sealant or did it come with it?

If it came with it, how did it hold up? Or would you recommend getting something else?

It was about 3 hours for the assembly and about an hour and half for securing it on the truck.

The kit comes with the sealant and it held up pretty well. It should be applied all at once. I only did one side at first just to test it out and the next day unused sealant were all dried up.

Can you order two different sets of sides and just pay extra to be able to mix and match?
let me check with the vendor. The ordering window for will soon be closed for the second batch as well. I think around 10mins days.

Sorry we cannot order an extra set of sides. Sometimes the manufacturer are very strict on certain weird things.

Oh boy! Just got mine! It's a very rainy day, but the delivery came during a break in the weather. The Rivian and the delivery might have to hang out where they are, by the barn, for a day or two before we get it unloaded: I don't feel like doing that in rain or on muddy ground.

I found these hook/j-bolts. I think they might be a great option. They are M12 and go quite nicely around the mount. I can easily trim to fit. They should easily be able to securely hold the topper down.

Tomorrow I am going to start assembling it. With any luck, I'll have it on tomorrow or Friday at the latest. I'll need help fitting it onto the truck.

Threading that curved section looks like it will be problematic, unless your plan is to have a bunch of washers on top of the mount plate.

I considered that and pickedup extra washers. I also took my vice and mallets to storage in case I need to massage a few things. I also plan to have several different options when I mount it and see what works best. I have a basis sort of u-bolt, j-bolt, the hook you see above and a few other ones I picked up.

Until I have it out and playing with it, I am not sure what I'll like best. I also don't want to be running to the HW store once I get started on it.

Or a piece of thick flat (or angle) metal, aluminum or steel, with holes or a slot.
One thing looks certain - J-bolts or U-bolts will be a bit more fiddly when attempting to set it on. Might need additional hands. The Weistec adapters would allow setting it onto the rails, and then adjusting until the holes match up.
