Cross Bars are Noisy Solution

having noise from cross bars?

I have a 911 I put cross bars on to carry skis. They made a loud noise. Porsche gave me these rubber strip that went in the bar. This gave me an idea. I didn’t have rubber strips, so I just put black duct tape along the slot. Noise gone. I will now do a better job and make look nice, but putting tape over the bar slot will get rid of the noise from cross bars.

The Rivian crossbars are so quick and easy to remove, just take them off when not needed. Improved range efficiency as well when removed. Drive well.
