See that’s why I specifically said “free market” in free market capitalism the role of the state is ensure an equal and fair playing field for all parties. I agree that cronyism and corruption are certainly things in our country, but they aren’t supposed to be.Lol, don't disagree with your comment, but car dealerships are a prime example of big money using power and influence in a capitalist society to bend laws to their will. This was done decades ago and now direct to consumer manufactures (ie. Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, etc) need to lobby and fight to have these laws and rules overturned.
That’s where we the people need to start some grassroots campaigns to get these laws changed. The politicians cannot deny the will of the people if the people care enough and are willing to vote them out for their transgressions. Idealistic I know, but we need to remember where the mark is even if we fall short.
