They spent a day with 3 versions of the R1T and were generally quite impressed. They said the trucks acceleration was “ridiculously quick”.

As much as we like the Rivian, it’s pricey, and we’ll be watching its reliability closely - first year models and startup manufacturers tend to have bugs that need to be to worked out”.

I think many owners can attest to that statement.

Yea, I’m predicting 1st year reliability to be pretty low as they get the software bugs ironed out. However, I expect 2nd and 3rd year reliability will be vastly improved.

I used to take CR’s word as gospel on all kinds of things because I like their approach to testing and rating products. But I have also been burned by buying things they rated highly but were actually terrible :asshat:
