Noticed a week & half ago that the subscription id paid for Connect + & being able to listen to Apple Music had stopped working.
Did both soft & hard reboots & was still spinning its wheels.
Called Rivian & yes, it’s a ‘problem’ affecting anyone expecting to use their Connect + subscription with Apple Music.
There should be a refund, but let’s see.
I’d imagine it’ll be fixed in the next update, but until then we have to use Bluetooth to tether, if we want to listen to any Apple Music, or playlists.

I was having issues with this yesterday
but a soft reset fixed it. Had more issues with Apple Music today, but the app seems to have crashed/restarted. And it was working OK as of 6 hours ago.

They really said they couldn’t fix it until next release??

Yep, that was what I was told this evening, that it was a ‘known’ issue & there wasn’t an immediate fix, that they couldn’t comment on any refund, irrespective of whether you’d paid for it, or were still in trial, that a fix would be included in the next update.
but anyone who’s got it to work in the meantime, top marks!
My one loads, but then spins its wheels, with flickering artwork for the playlist/artist you’re trying to listen to.
But hey, at least AM seems to work 🙄

My connect+ has not worked since the trial ended Oct 23 and I subscribed. No internet and can't stream any music from any app. Mobile service is coming out in in December. Soft/hard reset didn't help. Seems Connect +
Is half baked.

This also affects trying to view my cameras remotely and also being able to set climate control from the app (app - 2.16.0, update 2024.39.01) in my R1S 1st gen. Tried all resets and have talked with Rivian service about the issues with not much help other than they are probably working on it. No issues with using my phone as key though? Guess we will wait till the next update to see if it gets fixed. Any idea when they will put out the next update?

For me, and a lot of people, the problem is specifically with Atmos and turning that off lets it play. But the ONLY reason I would ever pay for Connect+ is to listen to Atmos via Apple. Zero other benefit.

I subscribed to Connect+, then was unable to use Spotify, NAV etc unless connected to my home WiFi or tethered from iPhone. Soft reset, hard reset , and a mobile app to no avail. Rivian Support suggested I turn off My Rivian Hotspot in Vehicle, now works perfectly; albeit no Hotspot. Currently waiting for next OTA to fix. Hope this helps out other Connect + users

ya I noticed that Atmos sounds worst than normal music.
sometimes, it feels like Atmos is only playing 1 channel through all the speakers or something…

ya I noticed that Atmos sounds worst than normal music.
It sounds absolutely fantastic when it works. The problem for many people suddenly is that they won't play at all. You hit play and it sort of tries and quickly goes back to not playing.

Good to know it’s not just me. (Well, not good, but you know what I mean 🤣.) We’re still on our free trial and we’ve never been able to, well, trial.

I cannot even sign into Apple Music. I hit the yellow bar to login and it goes to a black screen for a second to 10 seconds and flashes back to the white login screen with yellow bar. Mine has been like this since my 12v died Sept 25th. Soon after coming back from a trip and a few days of the Halloween update, my GPS stopped working too. I have an active Connect+ subscription and Apple Music subscription and can't use either to its fullest potential :/

Mobile appointment for later this week. Fingers crossed its a simple software thing and is resolved.

I just got notification that my connect plus is about to expire. I signed up for the 1 yr sub to get 2 months for free. I thought my sub would begin once my trial ended for 12months but apparently is starts from the day I picked up the R1. Was this everyones experience? For those having troubles with it, would you recommend to sign up? Thanks
