Actual curb weight of my truck 6,856 lbs; 45 lbs lighter than it calculated out to from the GVWR - payload. So in practice, my payload is ~1675 lbs, which I'm pretty happy with. I should be right about that payload with all 4 of us, bikes, other junk in the truck, and our 5,000 lbs GVWR trailer attached!

No worries about payload or towing capacity. The R1T will tow a house! I'd be more concerned about your range. Estimates shown in Tow Mode are way off and will give you false planning info! Beware.
Yep. It always starts out just taking your "All Purpose" range and cutting it in half. Then as you drive, it adjusts.

And aerodynamics are a far bigger killer of range than weight. A 1500 pound box 8.5' wide by 13.5' tall (many states' legal limit for a trailer that isn't "oversize") whose face is just a flat wall will kill range worse than a flatbed with 5000 pounds of bricks stacked so low they don't even get as high as the Rivian's bed rails.

@KootenayEV. Do you want to update your OP with some dual motor deliveries.

From this thread we have dual motor max pack with 21s - 1748 lbs
From this thread we have dual motor large pack with 20s - 1770 lbs

no tonneau, spare or underbody on either as far as I can tell

All that content Rivian has pulled out of our early Quad motor builds…and only 2 motors. So roughly 200 lbs in savings
Out of respect for OP on that thread trying to sell his max pack I am moving discussion of payload to this thread.

If you do the math on the OP information on this thread it seems we can infer two things:

1. DM is 130-140lbs lighter than a QM
2. Max pack appears to be 30-40lbs heavier than the large pack

Soon we should see some more DM payload stickers to fill out the table to gain confidence on these numbers.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, @Administrator. I'm doing my best here!

I find myself constantly looking for this information whether for personal use, giving advice, or answering questions to strangers. I'm not always able to crack my door open and read it to people who ask (looking at you, guy at the ferry terminal. And yes, get the dual motor!) so here's my door edge information with GVWR, GAWR front and rear, and payload information. Motors, battery pack (I can't believe there's maxes joining us!), wheels, spare tire, and Reinforced Underbody Shield (RUS) all affect the numbers so I included those. Feel free to post yours since YMMV, just crop out your VIN.

You must have the powered tonneau as well with a build date that early? The value on your tag lines up exactly with what I think is the same 2022 configuration. Cheers :)

The other oddity is that my GVWR is shown on the sticker only in kg, and when converting using 2.2 lbs/kg, it works out to 8514 lbs vs the US stickers showing 8532 lbs.
Not trying to nitpick, but try using a closer conversion figure. 1 kg. = 2.2046244202 lbs. I think it will come out nearly the same. ?

doh, of course!

Fixed values where I had mistakes in previous posts with respect to conversion from kg to lbs for my Canadian truck. Doesn't materially change results (or payload, since that was reported directly on the sticker in kg and lbs), but for the sake of accuracy, I fixed it.

The payload is 1779 pounds on our R1S Performance Dual Motor Max Pack on 21 inch wheels without a spare or skid plate.

I haven't been paying attention to R1S payload that much - it appears similar (the same?) though. Perhaps I should amalgamate any R1S data into this table as well... anyone out there know more conclusively?

There's another thread for the R1S but no one has organized the data.

I know nothing of how GVWR is calculated, but wouldn't Dual be less than Quad by weight of motors?
Man, that would be cool. R1T is 32 lbs over the "car" (into truck) weight for the tax credit here in CO. The end of this year is wonky for tax credits and trucks take a hit.
