So the new video description makes a bit concerned over CY. I was hoping for a more pronounced metallic, and not sure about the orange tone @Pixelshot mentions. I went from sold on it before to wondering if it's really more like Ford's Cyber Orange.

We need someone with a cyber orange Ford or a legit yellow Mazda/corvette/s2000 to drive over there, park next to that truck, and post some pics…stat!

I drove a compass yellow R1T at first mile in Sonoma, and have a sunburst yellow Mazda…

Compass yellow is a nice bright yellow, with some pearl effect in the metallic which adds(for lack of a better term) richness. It’s sort of like ford’s cyber orange(I’ve seen that one up close too), but…more yellow. Because it’s yellow.

I'm scheduled for a factory pickup on Saturday, May 28th!!!!

We assumed we'd take the delivery at our house (it's going to be almost 9 hours of driving & charging round trip, and we have to drive back with the Tesla since we're not trading in a vehicle), but we couldn't pass up the excitement of the included factory tour and the overall adventure.

I'm nervous driving a brand new vehicle back that far—especially with all of the one-off issues we've seen—but at least we'll have a second vehicle and it won't be too late for most of the drive.

I looked into it, but it's not really worth the time and cost. It literally would take longer to fly to there than drive from our house, and cost over $600 for the 3 of us. Not to mention dealing with getting from whatever airport to the factory.

I love driving in the Tesla, so I'm looking forward to it in general. On top of that, our Tesla still has free supercharging, so the cost is almost $0 (just vehicle wear-and-tear & mileage).

Ahh I misread - I thought it was 9 hours drive each way, not total. That isn’t bad at all. Easy day.

Serious. I am so in love with Forest Green. But put those black rims on that yellow, and that Rivian is DTF.
