CO Steamboat chargepoint dcfc upgrade!

Looks like the dcfc at steamboat is upgrading on Monday! Very well planned to coincide with the slopes closing. Does anyone know what speed they're increasing too?

I like them! It prevents people just leaving their car plugged in. If you're actively charging, you can just unplug and replug to avoid the charge

Wait, so it counts your actual time charging towards the 35 minutes? Not just after your vehicle has hit 100%?

I guess that still might be a good idea. Might stop people from going to 100% when they don’t need it.

FWIW I charged last Wednesday at the ChargePoint DCFC in Fairplay for a quick top-off on my way to Fly Fishing the Dream Stream…Charger worked flawlessly, but like other ChargePoints, it is more expensive, but the Porta-Potty next to it was clean.

Nice! I’ve had flawless charging at the CP stations in Edwards (62.5kW), Fraser (62.5kW), and Granby Kum & Go (62.5 - 125 kW) including in winter conditions.

Cp is reporting the site has been upgraded! No info on the speeds, but more importantly I hope reliability increases.

Hated using this site since more often then not I only got 30kw here

The Chargepoint in Georgetown, CO is in the process of being upgraded. It shows it can do 200kW but was only charging 41kW. I suspect they simply aren’t finished with the upgrade since some crates were left at the site.

They are upgrading all the chargepoint ran sites in CO it looks like. I'm sure it's some dumb bureaucratic reason why that happened lol.

But that Georgetown location is clutch. Another option for those driving through the mountains
